About Hialeah Estates

The Hialeah Estates is a charming village-like community in Bonsall, California. Residents enjoy the panoramic views of the citrus and avocado groves, as well as the easy-going lifestyle.

The city of Bonsall is about 12 miles inland from the Pacific Ocean and is bordered by Fallbrook and Oceanside. Hialeah Estates is a small neighborhood comprised of 39 estates that were custom designed and built on large lots.

This city is known for its equestrian activities and offers San Luis Rey Downs, a training facility for thoroughbreds. This is the only training track of its kind that the California Horse Racing Board has approved every period since 1984. Residents here also enjoy many horseback riding trails and relaxing parks.

The Bonsall Unified School District has jurisdiction over this city with three elementary facilities, one middle school, and one high school. Students in this community may attend Fallbrook High School as well as highly ranked Bonsall Elementary School and Norman L. Sullivan Middle School. Neighboring cities also offer private facilities such as Faith Lutheran School, Peppertree Montessori, and Calvary Christian School. There are several colleges within an hour’s drive and the closest is MiraCosta College.

Residents are within minutes to restaurants, stores, and services with centers like River Village Plaza, River Village San Luis Rey Shopping Center, and the Dax Stores. Just to the south you will find the Vista Valley Country Club which features a Ted Robinson designed 18-hole golf course. The club also offers facilities for weddings and other special events. The 76 Freeway is close for commuters and shoppers.

Bonsall was once a rural community which focused on agriculture. Today it is more of a residential community that is considered family-friendly. It was built along the San Luis Rey River and was first known as Mount Fairview, then Osgood. In 1890 it was named after a local minister following a contest.
